The Fiat 500 Gucci is an expensive special edition model that is aimed at very style-conscious buyers.

The result of a joint collaboration between Fiat and Italian fashion label Gucci, the top-spec Fiat 500 Gucci is also the most expensive. It's designed to appeal to the most style conscious car buyer, and comes in two styles named after their metallic body colour, called Gucci Black and Gucci White. Standard equipment includes leather upholstery, metallic paint, a height adjustable steering wheel, electric front windows, 12V socket, chrome body trim and unique 16-inch alloy wheels. In addition, all Gucci models come with stop/start, Bluetooth and a leather steering wheel with audio controls. Only petrol models are available in top-spec Gucci trim, the cheaper 1.2 and newer 0.9-litre TwinAir. TwinAir versions return an impressive 69mpg and produces emissions of under 100g/km.
Good points
If it's style you're after, the Fiat 500 Gucci has it by the truckload. The metallic paint, chrome door mirrors and 16-inch black-coloured alloy wheels suit the 500's retro looks perfectly, while the leather seats provide the cabin with a very upmarket feel. Around town the Fiat 500 is in its element. Darting through gaps and nipping into tight spaces, the small dimensions come into their own in busy city traffic. It's also very easy to park and is great fun to drive. We love the sound the 0.9-litre TwinAir engine makes, too.
Bad points
For such a small car the Fiat 500 Gucci is terribly expensive. It costs as much as the entry-level Hyundai i30, for example. Also, despite the range-topping spec, Fiat actually offers less engine options over the lower-spec Lounge model. Rear passengers get a fairly rough deal due to the limited headroom, and the lack of standard-fit split-folding seats is a bit much when the cheaper Lounge model has them. Finally, on long motorway journeys even the top-spec Gucci model suffers from excessive road noise.

Our choice
The 900cc TwinAir petrol engine outperforms the larger 1.2, it's also more frugal and produces less emissions - making it an obvious choice.
